Here are some photos from the summer of 2018, to late last year. The excavation and demolition of the footings and substructure of the former Lakeview Generating Station appears to be nearing the end. In the early stages, explosives were used to break up the concrete as seen in Shot #3. PDI is doing the demolition and Tacc the excavation. The rail spur that went to the plant was torn up in 2018, followed shortly by the removal of the transmission towers south of Lakeshore Rd.

The pink/red ponds are most likely wastewater lagoons for the wastewater treatment plant. They can turn that colour from red algae or certain types of bacteria.
