New 8 storey affordable housing project just off the future LRT in the east end of downtown. Currently well under construction.

Jack Macdonald Apartments: an 8-storey affordable rental apartment building with passive house certification designed by SRM Architects for Kiwanis Non-Profit Homes on the south side of Acorn Street, east of Sanford Avenue and west of Arthur Avenue in Hamilton's Gibson neighbourhood.

Anyone have recent updates?
 
In a somewhat impressive manner, they've managed to create something that looks like one of those old '60s/'70s apartment that's had its masonry covered with metal panels. Perhaps no one could settle on what colours and finishes to use for the final design, so the compromise was all of them...
