I feel like this is Alghabra's thing - the Feds never did this and now he's running around announcing support for all kinds of local projects to his riding without the province.

BOT has been handling the roadway related work (curb/median removal & roadway widening) with Pave-Al Ltd handling the asphalt laying portion of the works.

I imagine BOT will be handling bridge structure work as they're big into that.

Amico has been handling all of the watermain and sewer relocation work to date.

Wet & Dry Utilites and Sanitary Installations​

Construction crews will be continuing with the installation of new watermain and sanitary lines on Rathburn Road between Station Gate Road and just east of the Hurontario Street overpass. Temporary lane closures will be required in this area from December 2021 to February 2022, including a third closure on Hammerson Drive (at Rathburn Road) in January 2022. Please look for signs announcing the lane closures on the roadway. Emergency access will always be maintained. Overnight activities will be required at the two laydown areas located at Centre View Drive and Square One Drive beginning in December 2021. This work mainly involves trucks hauling construction materials from along the corridor and will continue until the construction is completed. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions. Residents near the work site can expect to hear some noise from back-up beepers caused by trucks, excavators, and other construction equipment related to this work. As utility works progress from west to east along Rathburn Road, there will be temporary road closures in order to install utilities that cross them. Please note that we will work to reduce the duration of these impacts, wherever possible, and we are working with adjacent property and business owners to provide advanced notice. We encourage motorists to plan for delays. We recommend entering properties by turning right in, and exiting properties by turning right out. Please follow the signage in place and do not use private laneways and plaza parking lots as detour routes.

What's Happening in January​

Over the past year, most medians have been removed and temporary traffic signals have been installed along Hurontario Street and Rathburn Road. This creates enough space for crews to reconfigure active lanes of traffic and allows them to safely relocate and upgrade utilities, while minimizing traffic impacts. We have also begun work on building the foundation supports and caissons that will form the piers for the elevated guideway. The elevated guideway, otherwise known as the HWY 403 Flyover, will connect the LRT corridor along Hurontario to the Mississauga City Centre Transit Terminal once built. In January 2022 , you can expect to see the following activities to take place in Mississauga Centre: Relocations and upgrades to watermain, storm, and sanity infrastructure will continue along Rathburn Road and preparatory works for utilities will begin along Hurontario Street.
