I feel like we should credit ourselves here. Potentially Marlin Spring head honchos are reading our kvetching of their past projects, and finally want to change their design initiatives for the better!

I thought they did a great job with the Stockyards District condo. But you can see some subpar details even with one of their better projects that you wouldn't necessary get from other developers.

For instance, despite the Stockyards District's large mechanical penthouse, they still ended up topping the mechanical penthouse with exposed mechanical equipment (that's quite visible from the west). They also phoned it in with these cheap-looking poured concrete retaining walls along the residential side street, Symes Road.

At minimum, they should have done some textured board-formed concrete (Brutalist-style). I hope they handle the fine details better here and with phase 2 of their Stockyards development.
 
^Look at all of those low-density warehouses! Can we say owned by a developer?!
