That would offend my OCD'ish qualities no end.

But it also makes the flashing a whole bunch less effective.

You should actually flag it, and send it to the project team for this project, and specifically note that it impairs the protective qualities of the flashing. Its not just an eyesore, the wall may deteriorate more quickly. You stand a reasonable shot of getting it fixed with that argument.

Good luck!

Yea that should he flagged as a difficiency. Then again not sure if they will ever address it in the next decade. On the crosstown there's a set of light poles at the east portal of science centre that has literally not turned off since it was installed 5 years ago

Two-part nudge required in some cases. First, the gentle suggestion; then, social media/media stories.

I can't be everywhere though; which is why I give people contact into in various threads. If a given org. (Mx, TTC, Toronto Hydro etc.) doesn't know there is something wrong, it definitely won't get fixed. Sometimes, some additional effort is required.
If everyone does this for just one thing a year that they see, it can make a huge difference.

im assuming its from heat expansion? Must have been installed on a cold day.

Quite a bit of space under there even with two tracks. A CPKC maintenance access could double as a trail connection, but frankly I don't know what there is to connect to right now.
CP Will not allow a bike path in its corridors.

The corridor is protected for 4 tracks and why the bridge over it is long. When Toronto West Diamond was removed, the bridges over the Weston Sub were build for 4 tracks.

GO has had a vision since the 70's/80's of running service across Toronto in CP Corridor and you need 4 tracks to do it.

If and when it may happen, the 2 rail crossing have been built to handle 4 tracks. Most overpasses while handle 4 tracks, but a number of crossings will have to be grade separate to the point some will have to be close off as there isn't enough room to do it.

... isnt there only two grade crossings on the CP midtown route, and one of them is being eliminated as part of the ontario line maintence yard,, and the other being Oster St right next to the West Toronto Diamond? Oster kinda has the room to go under if you rejig two streets..In a perfect world .. CP gets rerouted north of the city .. and GO gets the midtown corridor without needing to expand it. Although in the same perfect world .. the midtown corridor would of gone under at the West Toronto Diamond to also grade separate Oster..

There is also Bartlett just east of Dufferin

Bartlett is just a local street so it can be replaced with a bike/pedestrian bridge or tunnel, which can be a lot smaller and cheaper than a grade separation that allows motor vehicles.
