Yes and no. I mean, the building overall has a quirky early 80's charm to it, but honestly it's annoying to access and the interior layout kind of sucks. I know because I'm in there 5 days a weekThat Wallace Emerson walkway will be missed when they eventually have to tear the old community centre down.
I agree with this comment here. The W-E community center has that old school vibe to it because I used to live in the area with my family for 2 decades. For one, I not sad with the old building gone. It will relocate into a new building west, closer to Emerson Avenue.Yes and no. Bury power lines? In this city? Tell me another joke. They will bury those power lines underground, yes?
Iove this photo up above of the Galleria project and the CP railway track in the foreground! It would be nice to see a midtown commuter train or mass transit line tracks added to CP tracks. Like the Ontario and GO line at East Harbour etc locations. Creating a midtown transit line across the city. And the parcel of lands south of the tracks and north of Dupont St across from the Galleria. Could be where the transit station sit on with a couple of office or condo towers on top of it! Complimenting the Galleria across the street instead of those old buildings etc!
I think these track would make sense as express type service: Agincourt -> Don Mills -> Summerhill -> Dufferin -> Jane -> KiplingThere is a midtown mass transit train line exactly 1 km south of these tracks!

This line will make sense in the future as midtown and other areas close to this track intensifies in the years. As it crosses from the northern section of Scarborough area close to the Toronto Zoo. Right to the mid southern section of Etobicoke's downtown area etc. Connecting to other mass transit lines of the city running east west north and south. Rm transit has an youtube episode on this idea called ( Toronto's secret rail line/ midtown toronto line) check it out !I think these track would make sense as express type service: Agincourt -> Don Mills -> Summerhill -> Dufferin -> Jane -> Kipling
