Flashpoint is a Canadian show airing on CBS Thursdays at 9PM featuring a Toronto SRU (Special Response Unit) squad taking on hostage situations every episode. It's filmed in Toronto and doesn't hide it either! The last few episodes have started showing great shows of Toronto from the sky. Here's a bunch of them:

If anyone has any requests for a screenshot of something you saw in the show just let me know.

I wonder if the writers could create some sort of storyline with the Sunrise Propane Industrial Gases explosion? Changing the names, of course.
That would kick ass.

I can see it now. A disgruntled worker sneaks into the propane depot and threatens to blow up the whole building. The SRU attempts to talk him down over the course of the show, however, it's all for nought. In the end, he blows up the depot, killing himself and destroying much of the surrounding area.

The views of Toronto are, by far, the best part of this show.

Harsh. The dialogue does turn to cheese at times, but I think the show is a bit different (in a good way) than most of the procedural shows across the border.
I wonder if they're going to get rid of the super green filter that they shoot the show in any time soon, like how CSI: NY got rid of the dark blue filter that made every episode seem like a horror movie.

Don't get me wrong, it's the best Canadian production in memory -- the photography isn't directed by overambitious sophmore film students, and it isn't loaded with fiddle-laden folk-rock and token Quebecois. It's legitimately procedural, albeit pretty dry. It's tough having to compete with The Wire.

I don't know many people who haven't had enough of American police culture in Toronto.

Thank you so much for posting these! I was hoping someone would take the time to grab us screenshots :)

Did anyone else notice the immense degree to which this photo is zoomed? The white apartment building in front of the Sheraton Centre is actually situated 4 km to the north on the north side of St. Clair in Forest Hill. The building at the bottom right corner is the Holy Blossom Temple at Bathurst and Eglinton! Based on the site line, this picture was likely taken from Downsview.

Scott: Good Flashpoint pics!

Scott: I have to remember this show-"Flashpoint" and that it is set in Toronto
It brings back memories of the show "Night Heat" from the 80s to me.

wow!!!!!!! the city has never looked better! I love the dark, tinted look which adds a lot of drama. While I love all the wide skyline shots, the one looking straight down over FCP has got to be the best of the bunch...
