I hope the West Tower is rethought, contents-wise. The replacement of office space with bent-bowling-alley layouts in the podium in 2025 was a shock to me, I simply do not understand how anyone in 2025's condo market could think that even more suites would improve that building's chances of rising someday. I am with those who think that a hotel in the podium levels makes far more sense, and then rejigging the tower floors with larger, far better laid out suites is the way to go here: current layouts have clueless pre-bust investor written all over them. I'm not a developer, though, so happy to be schooled if I'm wrong, but one of my eyebrows will be raised for an extended stretch through any attempt to explain it to me otherwise.
I get the love of deconstruction'ess of these towers, but the units don't have to be deconstructionist as well. >.<

8 Spruce is 265m to the roof. Forma's East Tower is going to be 262.8m to the roof, so it will be Gehry's second tallest when complete.

That’s on me for relying on Wikipedia for the height of the East tower (an opportunity for someone to correct a Wikipage if they’re interested)! I’m not a huge fan of how urbantoronto database only shows the height of the tallest building in a complex.

Sorry about that. The availability of greater detail is a victim of holding some stats back, reserved for UTPro subscribers. UrbanToronto has to function as a business for us to be able to provide this otherwise hugely comprehensive free online community.

...I am not sure there's any harm of just giving all building heights in any given project like it was done before. Then if the reader wants to find more stuff about it then they can sign onto UTPro...there's lots of itching for details types posting here. And the win-win is that UT site will still likely be supported by subscribers.
