I know a lot of people put down Yonge Street but I love the fact that it's not lined with big corporate names. I like the small, quirky, independent stores and I hope it never loses that. A few franchises are fine but I certainly wouldn't want typical mall stores on Yonge Street. NO Abercrombie, PLEASE! Suburban, chain restaurants are also not on my wish list. Give me something original, eccentric and colourful and I'll be happy.

I love that streetwall on St Nicholas St. That's going to be a fine gem when all is done.

Did Karma add retail to the laneway down near College? Hopefully 11 Wellesley will have animation along the lane to connect that great urban pedestrian stretch.

The problem with the laneway (St. Lukes Ln.) along the proposed 11 Wellesley W. is that the back of the Yonge Street buildings aren't in use and have no sidewalk, like St. Lukes Ln. between Wellesley & St. Joseph St., so it's best to leave it as an active laneway. Retail on Wellesley in this project would be the best we could hope for.

I know that the facades for this project along Yonge will be subject to heritage signage provisions.
