I wonder if falling glass will become as associated to Toronto's condo industry as leaky condos were to Vancouver's?
I'm pretty sure this wasn't the first time for this to happen at Festival
When else did this happen at Festival Tower?
Let's wait to see what conclusions are reached. I can't believe that all of the windows would need to be replaced. Having said that, we are only about five weeks out from the film festival, and it won't be good at all for Toronto's image if hoarding or shelters above the sidewalks are in place around the building.
I too remember hearing about an earlier occurrence at Festival Tower.
The Star article mentions it happened in mid-July (Rain of panes not that unique)
I'd just like to note that CityPlace (aka St. James Town) has not had any glass panels fall off.
A resident of The Matrix (361 Front St W in CityPlace) was complaining on the CityNews report tonight of no access to her balcony for 4 months due to falling glass. The video showed several balconies without glass.
