I had a very yummy quiche... special of the day, just 16 bux.

But of course with the beer, the tab for the girlly girl, taxes and the tip, came out to 50 bux...

The signage looks quite nice. Ticker is a bit different than the above rendering but looks good none the less. Overall the site is looking cleaner and looking ready to open soon.

Let's hope they straighten that Bell Lightbox sign. Maybe Bell should get in the ipad game? Bell Lightbox sounds like a good name for a tablet thingy.

They would've looked brilliant in magenta pink and other bright colours, perhaps even knocking off the http://www.flickr.com/photos/clem/25487203/#/photos/clem/25487203/lightbox/ palais de congres style trees.

The columns have been polished to a semi-gloss state, so I do not expect to see anything more done to them. The fixtures applied to them will hold some type of signage - I'll assume that will be in place in time for the festival - so there will be some colour there.

Its a shame that a building that is going to be at the epicenter of both creativity and glamour is so sterile and boring at grade. While I think there are some nice features to this building, to me it doesn't make a bold statement unto its self but rather serves as a grey backdrop for celebrities that will walk the carpet - that can be both good and bad.
