Agree. It's one of the few buildings in Mississauga I like. Mississauga has next to nothing in the way of historical office building architecture yet they're tearing down the few examples of it they have. This is a missed opportunity and one they can't ever get back. 50 years from now this will be one of those 'what were they thinking back then' examples.

Well I must have been living under a rock. When I saw the York Demolition banner on that building last week I realized I completely missed this.

Anyone know when they'll bring the building down? I want to watch if possible.

They said that demolition will occur this month, but didn't give me the exact date citing confidentiality.
 
Just in case anyone is thinking otherwise, it is extremely unlikely this will be done via implosion. This isn't going to happen in a day, it'll happen over several weeks, floor by floor.

A long reach demolition excavation should be able to reach the top without having to remove any floors. I don't see this being taller than Regent Park

They were watering the dust down as material was being place in bins. Gutting the interior first and surprised starting a the lower levels. In 5 year plus, need to shoot from the same location to show the huge transformation of the area as well the disappearing views of Absolute towers. Shots from the east side will not change for at least 50 years as that area will remain low density.
