UT is a strange place....on the one hand, you have people constantly complaining that we never get any colour in our buildings....and then when we finally get some, we get derision from certain forumers...
I haven't seen these close up yet, but I can tell you, they look quite striking when heading east on the 401.....definitely they will be landmarks in North York...and the fact that they are actually "emerald" green should come as no surprise...they are true to their renderings....
Deepend's comment equating someone's appreciation of the colour with an inability to appreciate "art" is so typical of the stupidity that seems to be more and more prevalent here these days.......
It will be a landmark because of its unique shape, size and colour, as well as its location at the gateway to downtown North York. I predict most people will really like these towers. We;ll have to wait and see how the retail turns out but I hope they don't f it up.
How many people can tell the difference between high quality glass and low quality glass? For the average guy on the street, glass is just glass.
