Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The neighbourhood E of the station (between the 3 tracks) is called Junction Triangle, which would make a good choice imho.
I've never thought of the The Junction as extending as far south as Bloor. Wikipedia says the southern boundary is around Annette.

I don't hear Junction Triangle used much, but it's defined as east of the tracks. Which puts Dundas West station outside of Junction Triangle.

And I don't think High Park North works, as we already have a High Park station!

Willing to bet it would be Roncesvalles. It's close enough, especially if we got Fairbank out of Dufferin and Eglinton.
Roncesvalles Avenue is 375m to the currently named Dundas West Station.

The Village at Black Creek (formally Black Creek Pioneer Village) is 1,000 m to the currently named Pioneer Village Station.

It depends how Dundas St is renamed. Is it kept contiguous or broken up? Roncesvalles could be extended up to Scarlett perhaps. But as for the TTC station, my vote would be for "Bloor West". The GO station is already called Bloor so not much change there.

That whole area was once part of the Town of West Toronto Junction (or just West Toronto; i've seen it referred to as both). Some interesting facts about the place include it was the only other municipality in York County outside of Toronto with its own local streetcar network operated by the Toronto Suburban Railway, and its "downtown" was centred on Keele & Dundas (which is why that area has some old looking buildings and feels like an old-timey downtown). By the time it was annexed by Toronto it had a population around 12,500.

(Having veered off topic for Line 5 thread)

Railpath station would be fitting.

Roncesvalles would be disfunctional as it would cause confusion for streetcar passengers, because so many 501/504 cars short turn at Roncesvalles and Queen - so are signed as such, but if boarded on that basis would never reach the subway station. Not to mention 505/506 cars ending their day at Roncesvalles. (Now maybe TTC could agree to never short turn cars at Roncy.... two problems solved with one stone.....lol)

Personally I would be happy with either Junction or West Toronto, the historical inaccuracy is not that huge and it is the closest station to the Junction proper so basically where we want people heading to the Junction to point themselves to.

PPS St Clair Smarttrack/GO/UPE should be Stockyards, to eliminate confusion with the other St Clair

The main issue I see with renaming the station within the next 10 years is that I don't think the T1 trains cannot be programmed to produce the new name, since it does not use TTS like the TR trains do.

Lines up with it perfectly though by the street grid.

Only reinforces the point of the name being chosen due to "confusion" of there being no Steeles station
