Forgot about Dundas West in 1966?

Dundas West is one that probably *should* be renamed. Where other east/west station names are on the same latitude perpendicular to Yonge, Dundas of course takes that turn and eventually sits north of Bloor, crossing a subway line running in and entirely different direction, and quite a distance from (now TMU). I have encountered at least one confused person asking how to get to the Eaton Centre within Dundas West station. They were from somewhere in the GTA and were told to "hop on the subway and go to Dundas station". At which point, it's just less frustrating for someone like that to get on an (if they're lucky) 50 minute 505, than hope they understand cardinal directions needed for a much shorter subway ride.

Whether Roncesvalles or Junction is a better name there (considering the station technically exists in/on neither) is debatable, but it's one station where its name doesn't do it any favours.

I read somewhere - Transit Toronto most likely - that its original name was to be "Vincent", after the streetcar loop that existed on the other side of the street and the fact the station sits atop Vincent Yard.
 
Dundas West will definitely change its name at some time, for the same reason Dundas was changed.
There does exist a plan to change its name in the next 10 years, but not for the reasons you claim. The city backed away from their politically charged plan to rename the street, we would've retained the status quo had TMU not offered to foot the bill for the Dundas station renaming. Then the idea was developed to rename DW because there is no core Dundas station anymore. It's a feedback loop of reactions and has nothing to do with the controversy over Henry Dundas anymore.

It would be nice to see some coordination between Mx and TTC for a new name once the tunnel is complete between GO/UPX and TTC.

If they're serious about GO/TTC integration and making it a major transit hub, I'd maybe lean "West Toronto" though it's admittedly a bit nebulous. Obviously can't use the cross street names, Roncesvalles or Junction don't really suit the location, and the neighbourhood names of "West Bend" or "High Park North" are either obscure or obviously nonsensical.

I'm sure Metrolinx will spend top dollar in consulting fees on an utterly baffling name, whatever it ends up being.

Perhaps "Tall Building", to complement "Old Elm".

How about "The Crossways" Station in honour all of their cooperation on the pedestrian tunnel project /s

The neighbourhood E of the station (between the 3 tracks) is called Junction Triangle, which would make a good choice imho. The new Bloor/Lansdowne station could also be called Bloordale for the settlement name at Bloor && Lansdowne.
