Those who live on the 34th to 37th for the north and south side will have a view for the next 20 years before their is block by another building that is taller than theirs. The east view will be lost next year when T2 blocks their view. The west should never see a tower blocking their view

I took this from Rathburn yesterday. The building certainly adds more good texture to the skyline, it's a good contrast from the more monotomous glass/spandrel clad structures we've seen going up in recemt years. I just wish one of these buildings would hsve retail.

Side note. Kariya park could be three times the size. It’s always packed. Take down Fairview and expand it please and thank you.

I agree...it's tiny. They really shouldve expanded it a couple years ago IMO.

I think the school is being moved to the newly built one on Elm Dr.

It is which is why they should demolish the current one and expand this park. It’s weirdly arguably Mississaugas best downtown attraction. Perhaps a community centre or new ymca could work here as well. But the park should be expanded.

I agree completely but the school/land is probably owned by the region of Peel and not the city. My guess is that they would use it for affordable housing.

Apologies, I'd say up to the future roadway (I keep forgetting Webb Drive will someday be extended), and yes, into the school land. I don't know where it starts from the wooded patch adjacent to the park, it's a buffer zone of sorts at the moment. (seemingly)

Between the square foot pricing of edge, exchange towers and the houses on Joan drive I find the idea that affordable housing would pass here more than a bit of a long shot.

Also doesn’t peel help fund conservation parks in Mississauga. What’s the difference.

There’s a lot of movement and tree cutting where that Webb drive extension will be. Perhaps sooner than later.
