I don't think anything is moving in soon. The groundwork is still heavily under construction, and there are barricades surrounding the building moreorless. I'm pretty sure the leased space is completely unfinished as well (i.e. barebones concrete). I would estimate late spring 2020 (May/June) before anything moves in.
I'm very excited to see what will be announced though, since I imagine the 2150 Lake Shore site has increased interest for commercial spaces at this location.
Most of the external work appears to have been completed and, judging by the evening lights, many if not most of the units are occupied. But it Is a sunny winter day so here are a couple of photos...
The Sun Also Rises. The solstices of 2019, Humber Bay Shores.
Eau du Soleil is our Humber Bay “Stonehenge” as the summer solstice sun rises between the towers last June 21. Winter Solstice was 11:19 PM, December 21, Eastern Time. Sunrise, December 22, this morning, moves far to the south, compared to the summer. There is a different “Water of the Sun” as the sun rises over Lake Ontario and the mouth of Mimico Creek.
To give a sense of the extent of the shift in the orientation of sunrise,, the building on the right of the the shots of Eau du Soleil is on the left of the photo of the winter sunrise. (It is the Star Tower of Beyond the Sea. Yes, weird names.)
