Toronto East Harbour GO and Ontario Line Station | 14.35m | 1s | Metrolinx

Transit super highway for sure. I live in Leslieville so I'm looking forward to NOT using the Queen streetcar as much. I'm also very intrigued by how much this will change Leslieville and the entire area nearby in the near future. I wish I had a crystal ball!

They are setting up for the Ontario Line bridge portion of the hub...

Photos from today.

Lower Don Crossing. First pieces of the actual bridge are installed. Once they build the first half over the Don River, it will be launched East over the DVP to its final position and then the 2nd half will start construction. Each half is supposed to take about 3 months.

The new bridge being poured is being referred to as the Ontario Line bridge, but if there is supposed to be 4 GO tracks, won't some of the new GO tracks need to go on the new bridge?

I could be totally wrong but I think the newly rebuilt bridge, has space for a 3rd track? At least, that's how it looks from a bunch of @kotsy's drone photos. If that's the case, they would need one more track that would go on the new section about to be built but the Ontario has no tracks at all right now.

I took this rendering and turned it so Eastern is East/West. This is how it seems to look with the arial shots. Red = Current Bridge. Blue = Bridge about to be built. Like I said though, I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️
