That looks like a huge development. It's bound to have a big impact on King West and pull the animated, downtown core, even further west. It seems like the downtown core will reach Duffrin soon, if it already hasn't. (especially on Queen West)

Seems like a perfect area to get a new subway line, a sort of Relief Line for the overburdened King streetcar. Tell the City!

that would be fantastic, the king streetcar in rush hour is a mess

we live in the building across the street, I can post some good top down photos of this development tonight.

We also saw a lone raccoon exploring the construction site on the 4th floor two nights ago, it was a very odd sight to see

Loblaws Maple Leaf Gardens: 85,000 square feet
Loblaws Queen/Portland: 38,700 square feet
Loblaws DNA3: 10,000 square feet?

Loblaws is also opening a 9,000 square feet grocery store concept called 'Nutshell' at 500 King Street West.

2 new grocery stores? That is big news (for me personally as I live right in between them and really dislike trekking into Liberty Village for the Metro) for the King West community. King west of Bathurst doesn't see as much as action as King east of Bathurst, hopefully this will help to change that.
