What would be hilarious about it?Would be hilarious if TTC continued to operate buses along Eglinton once the LRT is fully in service and running, just like they run busses above subway routes.
That is exactly what they are going to do.
You mean after it closes like the night bus on Lines 1 and 2 right? What would be hilarious about it?
That is exactly what they are going to do, and this has been known for years.
Why would I mean that? You mean after it closes like the night bus on Lines 1 and 2 right?
You still haven't explained what's so funny about that.
It's too bad that the OP didn't post a better photo, as the really interesting part of the stop was cropped out of it.
While I agree with running a paralleling route along the underground section of the line - where the stations are further apart - it was and is a silly decision to operate the 34 east of Don Mills, where it will make the exact same stops (save for perhaps 4) as the LRT.Why would I mean that?
Just like the 97 Yonge for Line 1, the plan is to run the 34 in parallel with the LRT during daytime operations.
You still haven't explained what's so funny about that.
Does NASA run airplanes between the Earth and the moon?Does GO Transit run Go Buses beside its GO Trains at the same time. Or do they go, hey don't need the buses when we've got the train.
Does Air Canada run ships from North America to Europe while its planes fly over head?
Have you seen the stop spacing along every rapid transit line in this city besides the 2?Does GO Transit run Go Buses beside its GO Trains at the same time. Or do they go, hey don't need the buses when we've got the train.

What, you think the station spacing should be further apart? And those with mobility challenges should do what?Yeah it's like almost every block. Should be way further apart (same goes for current streetcar stops) I mean just walk a bit. I thought the whole point of the LRT was to get buses OFF of Eglinton. So funny.
