The work here has largely wrapped up. Despite going through here for decades to go to suburban family events I have never been to the GO station. It is actually well integrated with the surrounding area and is primed for a lot of growth. Went here to check out the Luminato display which was a bit underwhelming but A+ for effort and location. They have used the adjacent Don Montgomery Centre for other cultural events which is great to see! Taken 5 June.

Btw this is a great location for a coffee shop! ☕🍩🧋

Even thought this is a major transit hub, there's no pedestrian crossing to the west so there's a steady trickle of people risking life and limb to cross the six lanes of Eglinton. And the drivers out here are awful. At one intersection, not a single left-turning driver would stop to let me cross until I made an angry WTF gesture. And then it was a very reluctant pause and the driver had a "why the hell are you walking here?" look on her face.

There's a crossing at the lights at Kennedy and Eglinton. Also you can walk around under the bridge however there isn't a full sidewalk there it's just paved like a walking path is.

If you want to walk from the No Frills to the station entrance, crossing at Kennedy, that's about 400m. If you jaywalk, it's 180m. If you go under the bridge from the walking trail entrance, it's 350m. Only a person familiar with the area would know to do that. If you go from the trail via Kennedy, it's 500m. From the perspective of someone walking, the distances incentivize jaywalking.

Sounds like a you problem and not something that can be solved in a safe manner without building a pedestrian bridge over the street as there would be no safe way for cars to be able to see the light that would be needed for a crossing three. If it's not safe don't jaywalk across the street.

What's so funny about the truth it's to close to the Intersection of Kennedy and Eglington to add an addental cand its; not safe to be able to add one because of the bridge. Being lazy about your own safety and others isn't an excuse for jaywalking across a busy road.

I was just at Kennedy station and the unpaid fare hallway to the go train is closed off with signs saying that it's for work related to line 5 Eglinton, looks like they are moving the fare gates in preparation for the opening of the line
