Other Site-Wide Updates

Sales Centre - The Sales Centre will formally move from Vaughan to onsite in the Fall at the commencement of the Block 8 townhome sales
Crosstown 1 and 3 - All current inventory is sold out. Podium release has been delayed to the middle of next year
Crest - Sales are ongoing, there is still limited inventory available at a pretty reasonable price compared to other pre-cons in the area
Block 8 Townhouses - Will likely go on sale this fall
Block 12 Townhouses - Will likely go on sale towards the end of next year
Crosstown Community Centre and Park - The project has been divided into two separate projects. One focusing on the community centre and the other on the park. The community centre already has a consulting design team that is currently working on the project
Crosstown Place - Construction has made its way above ground and should be completed by next year
Block 5A Aga Khan Not for Profit Building - Approval from the city is imminent and ground breaking scheduled for the fall
Block 9 - This block has become a wild card. It appears based on the new Aspen Ridge Site Map shown at today's ceremony (see below) it appears the town homes have been removed and two large connecting condominiums will be built. One approximately 40 storeys and one 10 storeys. This will likely need to go through city approval and will likely not be approved and go on sale for another 1-2 years.
Phase 2 - Not anticipated to commence until at least 2025 (around the time Ontario Line North Segment construction will start in this area - Phase 2 will be marketed around the Ontario line as opposed to the Eglinton LRT which makes sense)

Thanks.

So it looks like not all of Wynford has been renamed, just the portion that extends into Crosstown.

Correct. Naming the extension Wynford Drive would have resulted in the entire street being renumbered, since address numbers increase the further east you go from Don Mills... unless they went with "Wynford Drive West" but I prefer Moriyama Drive, personally.

With approval of the ceremonial naming of Wynford Drive east of Don Mills approved, and a plan to add street art along that stretch soon to be rolled out, I'm thinking that 5A will be set for ground breaking soon, quite possibly even in September. Anyone have any reliable info on the possibility of that?

Wait so have they started on the community centre already then? It looks like it’s had shoring done and is being excavated.

No, they have not. They are aiming to start construction Summer 2024 however they are already delayed with the planning so ideally by summer 2025 is my bet. The city just hired an architect to manage the project design work / community engagement (town halls). The town halls will start in late Nov or Dec.

Here is the thread dedicated to the Don Mills Recreation Centre + Park (Block 3A + B):
