Technically with the current site state pretty much anything could be built however in reality much value and cost has already gone into the current design. Architectural costs going with a premium firm can account for 6-8% of total project cost. Significant cost has gone into planning, material procurement, marketing etc. Radically changing the design at this point would neutralize any value from these costs incurred. While I'm not a real fan of the current design I'm not going to hold my breath expecting something different.

Sounds like u have seen or heard of their plans?

What we all know for sure is this:

No, but Cresford sold 357 and 1/2 and 357A Yonge to Concord at the end of 2020. Not totally sure what that is about. I can't imagine another tower would fit there though.
357 and 357A Yonge is set to be a new 'park'.

UT Article on that here: https://urbantoronto.ca/news/2019/09/downtown-toronto-getting-new-yonge-street-themed-park-357

This is/was tied to YSL.

Good find!

And from Bulloch:
I think your theory make sense. I was riding on my bicycle 3 weeks ago in okeefe lane back of YSL lot and noticed a man with concord construction hat and mature female with construction papers in her hands looking around YSL project lot. One thing for sure they were from concord pacific which I observed.

So we've got at least 2 pieces of evidence that very strongly suggest Concord has bought the site.

1) They purchased property from Cresford associated with this site
2) They have been on site looking around.

Well I guess this site is pretty much a write off for any sort architectural quality and standard.

For those who think Aura across the street from this site is bad, just wait until Concord (speculation probably soon to be confirmed) gets their grimy hands on this.

Edit: I stand corrected, thanks Northern Light

Who remembers Harry Stinson and how we were once expecting the majestic Sapphire Tower, only to be graced with the architectural dud that is now the St.Regis Hotel? Well, this will be on the magnitude of at least 10x worse than what we were expecting to see with YSL

Sapphire Tower did not morph into St. Regis..................it morphed into Index Condos.

Goodness, can you get blue/green cladding with kind of brain melting saturation?

Giving me hints of Union Centre. I've also never seen this version of Sapphire Tower, only the disco ball version.
