Really sad to see how badly this city and Concord screwed up this massive piece of land. One of the biggest screwups in Toronto's history.

That land is CityPlace, not Concord Canada House.

Concord Canada House is on the opposite side of Spadina between the Lakeshore Corridor and Bremner next to the Dome.

Concord Canada House is on the opposite side of Spadina between the Lakeshore Corridor and Bremner next to the Dome.

Canada House is where the showroom was between the tracks and Bremner, you can clearly see it on the photo across from the golf course.

I read that when Toronto was bidding for the '96 Olympics (which ultimately went to Sydney) what's now CityPlace west of Spadina was supposed to be the Athletes' Village.

Atlanta hosted the 1996 Olympics and Sydney hosted the 2000 Olympics.

Toronto bid for the 1996 Olympics, which lost to Atlanta.

Was curious about this, so I did some searching. I'm quite familiar with the 2008 bid (and it's focus on the Port Lands), but this was surprising:
