Look at all those colours :(

And the difference in sophistication between that Chicago view corridor and the Toronto view corridor 2 posts up is vast. Everything about the one in Toronto (CIBC Square excluded) is crude and uncultured. Can you imagine that MLSE crap somewhere in that Chicago shot. It would be jarring to say the least.

Well if you have some billions in your RRSP, there is this:

1. Rail Deck Park - City-led Dream ($1.8 Billion or is it $3.8 Billion?) - from Bathurst east to Blue Jays Way.

Or this:

2. ORCA (Kingsmen Group) - South of The Well and west to Bathurst (incl. buildings).

Or this (which might help a bit if redesigned):

#3 has too much concrete, the park should be fully green.

My bad lol.
Yeah let's not to be off topic on CIBC SQUARE,
.. here is more info on the City's Rail Deck Park vision... https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/rail-deck-park.25731/page-71

Or this one that has more concrete and less park but more realistic ... https://urbantoronto.ca/news/2020/06/moshe-safdie-retained-updated-orca-project-concept

Construction Notice

Dear Neighbours,

We are writing to let you know that we have reached an agreement with the City of Toronto to complete work on the Yonge Street abutment to the Yonge Street Rail Corridor overbuild, which is the partially constructed concrete structure that currently exists at the north side of the new entrance to CIBC SQUARE at Yonge Street. For your reference, below is a photo of the current structure:

As part of the construction at CIBC SQUARE, we will be shaving off 8-inches of the existing concrete abutment support to open up a code required viewing angle for vehicular traffic travelling south on Yonge Street from Front Street. This adjustment will allow drivers and pedestrians to safely see traffic in the exit and entering lanes more easily.

We expect this project to take up to nine weeks to complete. For safety, the southbound right lane on Yonge Street will be closed for the duration of the work period. The construction associated with this work will be completed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays, within compliance of current noise by-law ordinance requirements.

We expect this work will start within the next one to two weeks and will provide further updates on the timing as a start date is solidified.

As always, we appreciate your patience in this phase of construction. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at community@CIBCSQUARE.com.
