Oh, okay. Thanks. I wasn't aware that they changed their logo. That's unfortunate. We have this stunning, grand, and exciting tower, but it's paired with this small, rather dull signage. Oh well.
My unsubstantiated theory on the logo/signage is that eventually this small signage with the CIBC + the diamond Icon will be replaced by larger versions of just the diamond icon (sans wordmark). But first they need to build the brand recognition of that icon meaning "CIBC' to most people, as opposed to getting mistaken for the Renault logo or something else. And I'd say building that brand recognition is something CIBC are very much working on, as the wordmark and icon pretty much always appear as a pair, never independently, to keep building that mental association between the icon and CIBC. Now, who knows how long it takes to generate that level of brand recognition, but I wouldn't be surprised if eventually there are just a bunch of diamond icons on the top of these towers, as opposed to the current signage.

Hi all, some of you that also post in the Union Station thread already know but I’m currently doing a personal project mapping out all of the Union Station Complex area; all current and future areas of the station:

I’m sure it’s already well understood here that both CIBC towers will be further integrated into Union when the potential eastern PATH extension and the accompanying Union Station Yonge Street bridge are opened, as such both towers will be included in my map.
Thanks to everyone that help find me blueprints to areas I was missing within this project!
