Phase 1 Yonge St ramp entrance/exit. I wonder where this was on the original construction schedule?
Are the red parts pipes to keep the ice off the ramp? Or just something for construction ?Phase 1 Yonge St ramp entrance/exit. I wonder where this was on the original construction schedule?

Under ramp heating system - commonly used for outdoor garage ramps and, in some places, sidewalks. Are the red parts pipes to keep the ice off the ramp? Or just something for construction ?
It's because there are two firepits.I feel like that gravel bed should have been grass instead.
Nice photos, Looking forward to the day where all the downtown rail tracks will be covered with parks. Chicago and other cities have done it. Why cant we??
Without dissing Chicago.............you're rather misrepresenting what was achieved there; and ignoring the many issues not attended to.
Even if we limited the discussion to public space.........

Is only ~3km from the heart of downtown Chicago.
This rail corridor is only ~1.3km from the mighty Tribune Tower:

Let's add, Chicago, a similar sized city to Toronto has almost 40% less parkland.
ohh I agree with you. I currently live between Chicago and Toronto and I agree, Chicago has lots of cleaning up to do and their traffic is worse than Toronto's to a certain extent. However Im talking about the main section of downtown where they were able to cover the majority of the rail tracks completely or partially along Michigan Ave with beautiful parks that attracts many tourists.Without dissing Chicago.............you're rather misrepresenting what was achieved there; and ignoring the many issues not attended to.

And the scaffolding removed! I was there in the afternoon and it was still covered. Maybe the park opening is just around the corner
