Get Out Of Town for the Christmas Family Fight, Friday

Westside Story:

This is going to look pretty much the same every week now. It's all rinse and repeat, steel is higher, floors are being added, it's growing up and up

Eastside Story:

There are visibly more changes happening on this part of the site. More work is being done to the crash wall along the train tracks, the wall along 18 Yonge St. is being extended towards the north and a clearer outline of the level 02 bus depot is becoming apparent

A closer look gives more details of the two ramps being constructed and the curved wall forming in the northeast corner.

To help visualize what is happening I've added two architectural drawings taken from the Ivanhoe, Cambridge, Hines site plans for CIBC Sq. In the birdseye view, you can compare today's picture to the site plan originally submitted for approval to the City of Toronto. This drawing represents level 02

The second image is a front view looking at the site as if you were standing on Lake Shore Blvd. W facing north towards the railway tracks. The red arrow signifies the floor that is being complete as of today's photos. It also helps to give some perspective on how the bus depot will integrate with 18 Yonge St

Always wondered about that. How do these guys or girls go to the washroom ? Climbing up and down to do this seems a tad dumb. They must have a bucket up there...lol hehe jk

Is it true with that accident which killed a man will has to re do all the rail platforms... i long suspected of some one will be killed these platforms way to tight and to close for trains..
