So sick of the disregard for the city's heritage by City Council and developers. This is one of the last complete Victorian rows in the area. These fine, well designed buildings will be demolished for another slab. No wonder Europeans turn their noses up at Toronto. No concept of pedestrian scale or character in this city.

Sad to see these houses go, to be replaced with something so utterly charmless.

Having a sense of place is beneficial to the human psyche. So many new projects, seemingly designed by engineers rather than architects, are robbing us of that. There are far too many developers that lack a sense of pride in this city. Sigh.

Good God all that terrible spandrel.

If you're going to bulldoze gorgeous Victorian townhomes, atleast replace them with something spectacular. More mediocrity in the Entertainment District.

I wouldn't call them gorgeous. These are downright utilitarian and commonplace. (like the ET condos) They also look odd and inappropriate to all the glass monoliths that have developed around them. It's just sad the glass monoliths couldn't have advanced design as much as they have in density for a metro of 6 million something. Just a little even. Take a look around. Expecting too much from a rental tower is just setting ones self up for disappointment.
