I like that slim profile, it's quite elegant.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a lot more of these slim towers scattered throughout Toronto's main streets. Not necessarily major players in the skyline from above, but they add an extra layer of visual interest when observed along the streetscape and woven into the urban fabric as a whole.

Yep. Not everything has to impact the skyline. Clever little infill projects like this are great to see.

The existing Mercer Street building is being vacated. Scott Shields is moving into new digs on King Street West - upstairs space in the middle of restaurant row.

I noticed a bunch of markings on the ground in front of this site now and there has been some recent movement on the permits - many of them are 'issuance pending' except for this one:
I'm not well versed in permit speak, does this mean construction is possible soon?

The city's application website hasn't had any further updates in a couple years now.
While fwiw, Scott Schields' website has a few newer rendering images posted. I don't expect anything to happen in the near term though.

The marketing sign has been removed from the building.
