It would be incredible to see a bike path built at bare minimum across the wetland to connect over with the north GO station entrance. If it was up to me and I had no budget, I would do a bridge over Liverpool and the 401 to connect with the west end of the platforms and the southern station entrance. It would take so many cars off the roads around here which are already choked at rush hour.

A lil' somethin' like this:

Liverpool rd has planned winding including cycling infra; in addition, Walnut lane extension will have a MUP on the north side. GO also has a project to build a better connection (pedestrian ramp) connecting liverpool and the station (project ON-LSEPKGO-03), of which I hope they add cycling connections... Especially that all cycling facilities at the station are near this location.

@Paclo

This area just came across my social for a public works component.

Not sure what is/is not under construction here., but at least one building is on its way up.

The building going up is VuPoint.

This road has been like 25years in the making and they are taking their sweet time to finish it. The connection is very much needed as the intersection of Liverpool/Kingston is an absolute nightmare in the afternoons.

Residents north of Kingston on Walnut complained they don’t want this connection and there will be too much traffic going past their houses now, so Pickering gave them a big middle finger and put a No Straight sign up at Kingston Rd 🤣. Basically saying you didn’t want the road so don’t bother trying to use it 🤣.
