Wow!, that seems pretty pricey. I definitely wish them the best though - the corner already looks so much better.

Based a quick Google, rooms at the Gladstone start at $277 and the Drake starts at $327. Queen West definitely still has the edge when it comes to hipness, though maybe the gap is closing...

Is there any chance that the houses on the east side of Broadview get redeveloped into something with street-facing retail, and the street itself becoming more pedestrian-friendly? We could use a proper connection between Queen East and the proposed office district.

It looks like people live in those houses.

My partner and I stay-cationed here last night (July Opening special rate of $216). I had high expectations but I'd have to say they were exceeded. Especially that expansive rooftop party haven on the 7th floor. Jam packed and abuzz last evening. And those city views - yowzers!

Looks amazing. Reminds me a lot of the Ace Hotel "chain" here in the States. Mind you, $300 CDN is a far-cry less than the going rate for a decent hotel in any of the cities Ace is featured in. Fantastic new spot for Toronto!
