There is nothing that looks quite as classic as a Slate roof and Copper fittings/eaves/gutters/downspouts.
I just hope for the longevity of this installation, they don't insulate the roof.

It feels like this has really stalled as of late. Considering the initial expectation was fall of 2015 (i have no idea how they considered this realistic), i've been eager to see this complete and to have the scaffolding removed from Queen & Broadview.

It's certainly not going gangbusters, but there was some activity on site today. Recall that this was in such a bad state, there were comments that only the stripper poles were keeping it up. So it will take time....

They recently restored portions of the eastern side. Compare left side vs right...

They started the masonry on the rear of the building this morning.

Good spotting slicecom. Entire rear wall is covered in scaffolding. Also, all windows, gaps etc were completely covered recently so it's tough to see what's going on inside, except the Queen St door was open when I went by today so I also snapped an interior shot.

Seems like all of the rear is pretty much finished now....brick-wise. Looks pretty good since the mortar has dried to a slightly lighter tone than in previous photos.

Exterior illumination? That's nice - rarely done for buildings in Toronto.
