yes - just noting that none of their remaining YTZ network seemed worth including in scope (given this is a YTZ thread)...and San Diego-Phoenix.

That would require a separate agreement since it is actually a different company/operating certificate.yes - just noting that none of their remaining YTZ network seemed worth including in scope (given this is a YTZ thread)

Interesting that it is the EVP of Cargo at Air Canada heading the announcement, although I note that Jazz is there as well. Could this be some kind of cargo announcement? Seems odd as I wouldn't think turboprop aircraft are used for cargo, but what do I know about aviation. We will know tomorrow. Not sure where else to put this. View attachment 690136
Gallardo has two roles - chief commercial officer as well as being president of the cargo division. It won't be a cargo related announcement.Interesting that it is the EVP of Cargo at Air Canada heading the announcement, although I note that Jazz is there as well. The AC-YTZ relationship has traditionally had a defensive element to it. But another possibility is that AC are concerned about the pace of Pearson expansion and want some options to route some US-Canada capacity through, even if it retains the best slots for Pearson-originating traffic.Question to our Aviation Aficionados here at UT; particularly in light of the above by Tim....
Does this read as a serious, long term, profit play, on its face? Or does this read as retaliation for Porter's expansion at Pearson?
AC downsized its BB operations a long time ago, and looked to possibly exiting entirely.. This is a big reversal for them. Is Pre-Clearance alone enough to justify the change of heart?
