In contrast to the excavation, the forming contractor seems to be all business and this is really moving along quickly for the complicated below ground floors.

Walked by today and there is signage on the hoarding advertising retail space available with this website: www.bijoucommercial.ca. Looks like it'll be medical office space and smaller retail at grade in this location.

This is a hugely disappointing change from the original plan that it would be a grocery store in the lower ground level.

The neighbourhood lost a movie theatre and gains ... more medical offices?

I'm with you, @A Torontonian Now. Bloor West Village definitely doesn't have a shortage of medical offices as it stands. I suspect they wanted more large-format retail here given the number of parking spaces in the development, but with the delays with the project, couldn't firm something up and had to pivot.

Perhaps there is still hope for some of the smaller retail spaces to bring something additive to the neighbourhood.
