Next up is the Martin Goodman Trail - Humber Bridge to Budapest Park. We find the Waterfront Trail so refreshing. Something about a sunny day walking close to the lake. Trails through ravines are great as you feel like you are lost in a hidden place for a couple of hours. Trails along rivers and creeks offer beautiful views and make you feel like you are walking in an urban area on one side and the country on the other. But walking along Lake Ontario makes you realize how lucky we are to be right on the edge of one of the great lakes.

Next up is the Burke Brook Trail - Bayview to West Don River. This trail was a little tricky to enter off of Bayview as the entrance was steep and eroded, but was really worth it once inside. The trail floor is made of gravel, dirt, wood, and pavement and has it's own look and feel with each section. A lot of fallen trees make for obstacles and the trail leaves you wondering if you were actually still in the city or somehow transported to the country.
