Toronto Arch Lofts | ?m | 4s | WDG | CLA

...and now they're re-branded as "Arch Lofts".

Interested to see the floor plans, when they're released; my personal opinion is that one of the reasons the church conversions have struggled here is the sometimes very strange individual layouts that developers have opted for. The buildings in many cases make for difficult decisions, no doubt, but too many of the units wind up having not enough and/or quite awkwardly placed windows.

Union Lofts, a church conversion project in the Junction Triangle area, is relaunching as Arch Lofts after the builder was forced to rework the initial plans for the project - front page story here.

Does anyone know of the potential drawbacks on changing contractors halfway and pausing construction for over a year? I'm curious if there might be: 1) any possible building/construction issues from rain/snow/other weather when construction was abandoned for a year, or 2) what kind of challenges there are when one set of contractors picks up where the last set left off suddenly. Thanks!
