Toronto and the 2015 Federal Election

One thing I liked about my riding is how nice the candidates, less the CPC incumbent, were to each other. During the campaign. the Liberal candidate's mother died and the Green and NDP candidates sent her condolences on Twitter.

Yeah, Thomson's low vote count was a bit shocking. He was one of their star candidates.

Maybe even more shocking is that he only got a point or so more than the Green candidate (the lowest such margin in the 416?)

Liberals (46 seats) 1,318,120 49.9%
Conservatives (6 seats) 887,206 33.6%
NDP (0 seats) 359,418 13.6%

Liberals 644,768 52.7%
Conservatives 331,728 27.1%
