"The new owners haven't submitted an application for redevelopment, but I've met with the developer's representative and learned they will be proposing a residential/retail mix with new roads- think Shops at Don mills with more residential"


Will have to keep ours eyes open for this one it could be big.
 
Very nice.

Agincourt Mall at the moment is very tired-feeling and has been slowly emptying out over the last few years.

A new road network would also be a huge bonus connecting the cluster of highrises around the library to Sheppard Avenue.

The Official Plan Amendment (OPA) proposes to amend the Agincourt Secondary Plan to permit the redevelopment of the Agincourt Mall lands, with a mix of uses including residential, retail, and office, community facility space and a new pubilc park. Specifically, the OPA would permit a density of 4.2, approximately 5,000 dwelling units; new streets and blocks, a new 8,416 m2 public park and other open spaces.

I had always imagined this mall being redeveloped. Cool to see that it is actually happening!

I know the park is an artistic interpretation, but it looks like a park done right!

Are those townhouses circling the park or retail spaces? Please be retail, some restaurants and cafes with patios would be superb.

Probably trying to transition street activity backing up onto the existing retirement home to the west.

Bah, that is utterly disappointing.

One would have thought that park-facing patios on a wide treed sidewalk would have been a massive win, especially considering that the density proposed here could support restaurants/cafes.
