I love those aerials - my thanks to the charioteer.
Especially the last one because it shows the buildings where warships were built and launched during WWII.
It's now the site of "The Music Garden."
I have this similar photo (don't recall the source) which was dated 1981.
The buildings I have circled are the ones where the Dufferin & Redfern Construction Companies built as many as 40-50 minesweepers in the early 1940s.
I've never seen an aerial showing those ships under construction.
Such photography was probably banned as a security measure.

I'll second that. A lot of people worked in those rail yards, both the freight sheds and passenger coach yards, and it was back when there was a substantial passenger rail network. It made sense at the time to have a yard close to Union Station. Now that passenger rail of the intercity variety is a shadow of its former self the amount of space needed for such facilities is a lot less and freight is more efficiently handled at the large intermodal terminals. At the time those yards were a bustling area and were not inconsistent with the industrial nature of the west side of the downtown south of King.

It couldn't be earlier than 1930 as Commerce Court North topped out in 1930.

I particularly like in the 1935 pic the meandering path of Queen's Park Crescent West and how integrated Queen's Park was with the University campus.
