Toronto 88 North (88 Queen East) | 90.52m | 27s | St Thomas Dev | Arcadis

Awesome news! Would be interesting to know what the square footage is.

8,276 ft2 customer-facing, + 1433ft2 of storage.

All-in 9,709ft2.

Are building permit drawings public facing?

No.

But this it the layout (green)

What is that comparable to downtown, size-wise? Bigger than the Longo's at Dundas and Elizabeth and maybe closer to the Farm Boy on Bay?

Farm Boy on College, believe it or not is close to 17,000ft2.

The Pusateri's on Bay (Yorkville) was 5,500. So about 50% larger than that.

A similar size would be the Market by Longos at Imperial Plaza on St. Clair at 8,500ft2

The one on Bloor (Hudson's Bay Centre) is just a smidge smaller at 7,800ft2.

That’s awesome news
Is there any way we could know the ETA for opening ?

Not set yet, depends on when the permits are issued.

For small stores like this; assuming the plans don't change materially while in permits, they can stand a store up in six to eight weeks.

Thank you for helping.
Is it going to be smaller than NoFrills on Front st. (200 Front st. E) ?

Permits were issued here Sept 24 to Sept 26th, 2024.

Someone should go peak, I imagine they will have started by now.

I don’t think I saw any alterations. Last time I took a look inside was probably last week.
On the other hand, a new no frill is opening next week on 75 the esplanades which isn’t very far from this building. I wonder if they changed their plans

No change in plans, both stores are going ahead.

Lots of room in the market for it.

The crew doing fit-out at Esplanade will be the same one that fits out Shuter; but there will be some set-up work w/mechanical, electrical etc.
