The proposal has been revised to a 12-storey mid-rise building and two towers with heights of 18 and 22 storeys connected by an eight-storey podium.

A community meeting will take place at Vic Johnston Community Centre on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, 6:30pm.

Good. I expect a NIMBY marching band here, but Streetsville needs to intensify more substantially than townhouse projects.

Agreed. Pleased to see higher density next to Streetsville GO.

22 storeys is quite modest compared to the proposals in nearby Port Credit.

Residents oppose ‘behemoth’ 3-tower development in Mississauga

Resident Tom Jordan said he and his neighbours are mostly concerned about the size of the development.

“Three towers is way too big—even the eight-storey main level is a behemoth compared to everything else in that area,” said Jordan.

On the flip side, Streetsville resident James Burden said he supported the development.

The development is close to the Streetsville GO Station and more people are needed near stations to add more train service.

“This is an area of the city we should densify,” Burden said.

He thought more people would be good for the community and economic development.

“I love Streetsville and I want more people to be a part of that,” he said.

Yep...just NIMBYs. Streetsville can easily accomodate some modest growth, and sure, 22s might seem a little steep, but this site is away from houses, and the massing is much more respectful considering how the towers are setback from the podium level. The views would be excellent here.

NIMBYs gonna NIMBY. "Loss of village character" is an absurd complaint when these buildings in place are an eyesore in the community.

I think my only beefs with this is the lack of retail on site. I believe I read that somewhere, and the renders do look like walk up units on the ground floor. Some retail would liven it up a bit... also, a lot of 1 room units. Those tend to be too small, but I'm not against 1 room units in theory. Just hope they're done well.

This project is in a good place for this. It is right beside the GO station.
