Minto has also closed on a 0.4-acre, conditionally zoned site currently occupied by a vacant industrial and commercial building in Toronto’s downtown west Parkdale neighbourhood at
6 Noble St.
Minto plans to build a boutique eight-storey condo that integrates into the streetscape of the diverse and gentrifying area that has many artisan small businesses, restaurants and bars.
“We saw the opportunity to build an urban gem nestled in a strong community,” said O’Reilly. “We’re working hard to design a building that blends well into the existing urban fabric.
“It’s a rare product for us. It’s a boutique eight-storey mid-rise building filled into a neighbourhood. We’ve got two-storey product on the ground floor to provide street presence and we’ve got three-storey product on the top as well.”
