The subject property contains two 8 storey residential apartment buildings that are linked by a below grade garage. The proposal is to construct an addition to the southern building (515 Chaplin) by adding 69 new units to the southeast end in an area of the site that contains a surface parking lot. There would be 18 existing rental units demolished and replaced by 18 new rental units plus an additional 69 rental units. The current building contains 221 units and the total unit count after construction would be 290 units. The proposed building height is 12 storeys with the roof being used for a mechanical penthouse and outdoor amenity area.
 
A resubmission was recieved for this in June.. Still kicking. The posted documents only show the parking levels unfortunately.

The Zoning By-law amendment was previously approved by Council on August 20, 2015, but not
yet enacted. The revised proposal remains very similar to the previous submission. Notable
changes to the proposal relate to the reduction in the number of units, and a change in how the
new building will connect with the existing building. The previously approved application
contained a total of 290 units, whereas the updated proposal now contemplates 278 units.
While the previous building was structurally connected to the existing building throughout, this is
now limited to the first floor.

 
Within walking distance to the future Chaplain Crosstown station, I'd imagine we'll be seeing more intensification round these parts.

The new rendering is updated in the database! The project information is also updated. The total building height increased from 43.43m to 44.25m. The total storey count decreased from 13 storeys to 12 storeys. Total units remain the same at 66 units. Finally, the total parking space count was reduced from 246 parking spaces to 219 parking spaces.
