March 26: A lot of workers present at the 422 Wellington site earlier this morning - more than I have seen at one time before, with work going on at several locations on the building.

Great update! I imagine that they would like to be open for patio ($$$) season which is rapidly approaching.

May 2 - Activity is now focused on the interior restoration and fit up of the 422 Wellington. Three photos of the current state of the exterior. Three rows of some type of bracket have been installed along the rear section cladding. Not known what, if anything will be attached - nothing can be seen in the Database file rendering.

I appreciate this project because it shows you don’t need to build a high rise over a heritage building to restore it.

That is true in the short to medium term but the shed is basically a useful placeholder.
This house is being beautifully restored but it does have a considerable setback from the street. I can see it being moved much closer to Wellington St. someday to free up more space in the rear for a more significant future development.

July 3. Looks very much like 422 Wellington renovations are entering the home stretch. Activities appear to be focused on finishing touches around the exterior of the building - activities that are done once the interior work is nearing completion. One person working on the new section's rear exterior, another installing wood panelling on the underside of the side entrance awning, and a crew working on landscaping preparations for the front entrance.

The paneling on the shed part looks canned though....
