Toronto 3C Waterfront | ?m | ?s | 3C Lakeshore | Foster + Partners

what is the latest update on this project? seems like no news has come out for years now.
They are likely waiting around for the various levels of government to commit to things like the Lower Don revitalization, the Waterfront LRT/Transit situation, what happens over at the Unilever site, etc. before moving forward with the project. So that they have a better understanding of where things stand, what to ask of the city in terms of zoning and heights, etc.

It is not bad idea too, as patience will give them a better assessment of the market as well. The developments towards the west and north are currently under construction or just being inhabited. Demand for units in this emerging neighbourhod might increase when construction is complete, people and businesses have moved in, parks and recs are built, transit is sorted out.

Yeah, I was under the impression that this is one of the parcels in this general area that can't be redeveloped until the Lower Don revitalisation is completed (which is a long ways off).

Yup, the properties are adjacent, had Castlepoint Numa in common ownership-wise, are now owned by different groups, and because of that are unlikely to be named in a way that will link them. The title of the other thread currently appears in the format we use for threads which don't have a dataBase file yet. The automatic titling for threads which do have a dataBase file attached (like this one) unfortunately do not allow for an address, just a project name.

Was a little worried that they got rid of Trinity Plaza, but thankfully it's still there (hopefully the development next door still keeps it).

Kind of unfortunate that the side facing Lake shore feels less porous now (feels like it'll be like the backside of the development - I guess how they treat the facades and walkways on that side will be important.
