So the city has made a bunch of progress on the Bay sidewalk and planters, but I sure I they're not done because the concrete looks terrible in places.

On the bright side, they've been doing a whole bunch of work on the St. Joseph side as well, which (somewhat remarkably) includes a significantly large bump-out and vehicular lane reduction.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a lane reduction pseudo-coincide with condo-related construction. But I hope to see more of it!

I wish they put trees into those planters they added on Bay St. The grasses look so lonely in there.

I think the same thing happened on Yonge Street during the construction of Aura

The right turn lane in front of Aura was reduced in size, but not eliminated. It is about 3 car-lengths now, while previously it was closer to 12.

I expect that trees will go in sometime in the Fall. This isn't the best time of year to plant trees.

I am also hoping that we'll see stone used to clad those planters.

Pure speculation/observation here, but I'm wondering if trees are, indeed, in the plans, given the presence and placement of the glass canopy -- there's not a lot of room above the planters for mature growth (acknowledging, of course, that there are different types and heights of trees). Have a look at this photo:

I expect there will still be trees there, but that they'll never get all that large, not large enough nor densely enough planted to ever be considered part of "our green canopy". Only a few hours of sunlight here every day will mean slow growth!

Nice granite on the Bay St. planters for seating and nice stainless steel planters on St. Joseph that aren’t fully planted yet.

The landscaping has turned out really well, what a great addition to the neighbourhood.

That had me looking for who was the landscape architect here. Turns out it was the MBTW Group. Also made a minor adjustment to the height in the 100 metre list (104.9 metres in the SPA docs).
