Oh wow, I used to live there! It was a 1 bedroom, but since it was built in the 60's, was absolutely massive.

Welcome to 2019 - I'm sure the new units will be shoeboxes.

This site was poised to become a flatiron shaped proposal then. Albeit an architecturally subpar one. ;)
 
Holy crap - what a downgrade. I can understand the need to go with higher density, and twelve stories is perfectly appropriate for this site, but what happened to the design? This is design by balance sheet: cram as many tiny units into the cheapest block feasible to build on the site. Really gross. Can't those angled balconies at least return? And yes to retail - a little shop or cafe here would be terrific. The City should push the developer to fund an entrance to the Cedarvale Ravine park here - only needs a staircase.
