Height is not all to be as you still have heritage building float around. Far to many heritage been lost to tall towers or poor mid rise. Got to think sunlight on the street.

I really enjoy the concept of this one (art deco, setbacks, fins, street level) but i can't help but be worried that the vision will fail to be delivered due to the glaring amount of spandrel interrupting the facade look. Look no further than 1 YV for a lesson on vision vs. execution.
 
That was certainly fast. I hardly noticed that sales even begun on this one.

And yes, fingers crossed that materials and execution live up to the renders. (which is, sadly, all too rare).

The rendering and model don't suggest a beautiful building. It's not ugly but there's nothing architecturally engaging about it either. It will be tall and functional. People are going to be disappointed if they're expecting more than that. If it were half the height we'd be calling this 'filler'.

Unrelated and random thanks for posting the news piece about 11 Yorkville Towers (11 YV). Been trying to find some background history on this building and it was great to see these early photos. Haven't been able to find much else online but ran across this one from 1975.
