So far I think they rather "freshen up" the area with the glass being used and design plus the thin profiles are striking, which is badly needed with the sea of green down there. Of course there are a few great buildings down there (Telus etc.) but they get lost among the taller green glass buildings.
One thing I've learned in this and other skyscraper forums... there is not one building that will win approval from everyone. Personally I like ICE, it's something a tad unique compared the usual square box design. The blue glass is a nice relief from the green and in my opinion is a positive addition to South Core and the city of Toronto. Plus the height is awesome and really adds to the skyline, especially from the island.
Just noticed that myself. Can't get a good pic, but there are now three steel angled "legs" erected on the top. Glad it's not just ended with a cheapened flat roof.
That Railway/Roundhouse Park looks like it is becoming really, really popular. - Was there the other day and there was a wedding and kids running loose everywhere.
